Major Contract Leads to Parsnip Perfection

Panks Engineers found itself presented with a challenge when it was awarded the contract to design, install and Commission a fully Operating water supply, distribution and pumping system for Albert Bartlett & sons of Chatteris, who are Britain’s largest grower of root Vegetables.

Every week a fleet of trucks leave the loading bays and supply the nation with one in ten of its potatoes, one in eight of its carrots, one in six of its onions and a third of its parsnips. Continuity of supply and quality was paramount and a fully functional pumping and distribution system must maintain this demand whilst meeting the requirements of Efficiency, reliability and environmental best Practice.
